LANDSCAPE DESIGN PROCESS

Below are the main steps of the landscape design process which is followed for each project.

1. INITIAL INTERVIEW

Our landscape designer will interview the client during the initial meeting to determine the project goals, identify or reduce any potential issue areas, and gather sufficient information to produce a successful design.

2. SITE ANALYSIS

Property surveys are useful tools that support the creation of a landscape design for both modest and large-scale projects. We will organize a site visit to check the dimensions are accurate and/or to add extra site information not provided on the survey after receiving a copy of your survey and entering it into our design program.

3. MATERIALS SELECTION

The selection of all materials, including plant materials, hardscape (pavers, wall stone, natural stone, etc.), lighting, site furniture, planters, etc., must take into account the unique site circumstances of each project site. The selection of plant materials is a crucial step in the landscape design process. Meetings with the client will be used to pick materials, whether they are man-made or natural.

4. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

After steps 1, 2, and 3 are finished, a conceptual landscape design is produced. The client is presented with the concept either in person or via Zoom. The client will evaluate the concept after it has been developed, and any feedback or concerns they may have will be taken into account when the final design and/or masterplan is developed. The client will receive a scaled PDF sized at 11x17" for each stage of the design process.
